Meet the Crew
J. Richard McClure
President & CEO
While the McClure Company has roots all the way back to 1912 with the start of McClure Realty in Pennsylvania, Dick was the one who started branching the company out into Florida when he moved down and started a family in Saint Petersburg. For 35 years, he has built the branch from the ground up to be a development, brokerage, and real estate services company communities can trust. During that 35 years he has also started a family with his wife Becki, and they have three sons together: Richie, Clint, and Mitchell.
Richie McClure
VP of Development
Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, FL. Richie studied his father’s business from a young age, and it started intriguing him more and more as he approached graduation from Florida Southern College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration on Finance. Richie is no stranger to hard work, determination, and team work as he was taught those values early on in life. He would go on to play baseball in college before graduating and focusing on his future, starting with the finance industry. He then transitioned to real estate after interning over the summer at McClure Company. His main focus with the McClure Company is scouting value add properties, property management, and acquisitions.
Our Background
The history of The McClure Company starts in Akron, Ohio where John Nuton McClure started what would become generational interest in the real estate industry while working for the Stout Agency. John was quite the salesman and even placed 2nd in a nationwide farm-selling contest where his prize was an automobile, a rarity in 1912. The shift to Pennsylvania started with Andrew McClure, John Nuton’s son, back in the late 1920’s. Andrew was a local who opened a real estate office selling farms to the townspeople of New Castle, PA. His son John grew up wanting to go to West Point to be a football coach, but when he showed an interest in real estate his dad started helping him with appraisal work. John would work doubles appraising by day and working in a glass furnace by night and grew his office as big as 12 salespeople at one point. Around that time, his son Dick had an interest in real estate and expanded the company that had previously only dealt with residential real estate to include the commercial side. Dick moved to Florida in 1982 and has been operating the real estate development, brokerage, and management company since. His son Richie showed interest in real estate when he interned for the McClure Company in 2016 and has been with the company since 2018, specializing in site scouting, acquisitions, and tenant relations.
